Welcome Back!

Welcome to a new school year! We are off to a great start so far and look forward to an exciting final year in the building. There are a number of new additions and changes to our staff:

• Ryan Austin is teaching 7th grade English
• Gail Burke (formerly taught 5th grade at Jefferson) is teaching 6th grade reading
• Leah Dahlin is teaching 6th grade math
• Matt Donovan is teaching in our ALC program
• Jessica Eaton is teaching 8th grade math
• Jennifer Hartnett is teaching music
• Diana Mitchell (formerly taught 7th grade math) is now teaching phys ed
• Bryan Pretzer is teaching 7th grade math
• Stephanie Rust is a special ed teaching assistant

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Back to School Night is Tuesday, September 13 from 6:30 to 7:30. Please make every effort to come and meet your child(ren)'s teachers!

First term Progress Reports will be distributed on October 5.

Dress code reminder:

• shorts/skirts need to reach mid-thigh, to extended finger tips
• no undergarments should be visible on boys or girls
• no hats or hoods may be worn

Students in violation of the dress code will be given the opportunity to remedy the problem, i.e., pull up pants, put on a sweatshirt. If this doesn't work, students can

• call home to get a change of clothes
• wear a large red t-shirt (provided by me) for the day
